Directors

About me:

My name is Madilynn Emily Seay. I go by my middle name,  Emily, and my last name is pronounced 'sea' like the ocean. I graduated for the first time with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Performance.. My next stop was to get my Master's degree and do the next best thing: teach theatre. I have also been a part of community theatre around DFW as a director and actor. I love everything from Shakespeare to musicals. In my free time, I hang out with my family or immerse myself in the theatre around me, constantly learning!

Throughout the year, I work alongside the middle school and high school to create cohesive alignment.  

This year, we get to add another great director, Ms. Laird. Together--Argyle Theatre will be unstoppable! 

Ms. Laurie Laird

About me:

My name is Laurie Laird. I graduated from University of Texas at Arlington, and I will be starting my tenth year in education. I've taught in both Texas and Georgia. 

I have been involved in community theatre since 2015, appearing in shows like Sister Act: The Musical, A Christmas Story: The Musical: Willy Wonka; Hello Dolly, and many more. I love the lessons I've learned in community theatre and the excitement of creating something that moves people to think and feel. 

In my spare time, I love traveling: road trips, cruises, adventures anywhere! I love to see new places and meet new people. My husband Eric is my favorite travel companion along with my adult children Isaac, John Mark, and Abigail. Also, fun fact: I am a Chicken Tender (I have 16 chickens, that is.)
