Lost or Damaged Books Students are responsible for lost or damaged books. If a book is lost or damaged, the student must pay for the cost of the book so the Library can replace the lost copy. *Payments can be made in Cash, a Check, or online with RevTrak. To receive a refund for a lost book(s), the book(s) must be returned within 30 days of the payment received.
How to Protect Library Books from Damage or Loss
1) Please do NOT pack a water bottle that has been opened before in a backpack with a library book. Many times, even "leak-proof" water bottles have been known to leak onto a library book. *This is the most common way that library books are damaged.
2) Please keep library books out of the reach of young children and pets. This prevents torn pages, chewed corners, and scribbles inside the book.
3) Please keep books away from food and drinks to prevent spills.
4) Always have clean hands when reading a book so that dirt and anything sticky will not get on the pages.
5) Please keep library books inside. Many times when books are taken outside, they are forgotten. Rain, dew, or sprinkler systems can get the book wet.
6) Please do not take library books on out of town trips. Many times, books may get left behind at a hotel, in an airport, a rental car, or at a relative's house that is several hours away.
Thank you for helping to take great care of our fantastic Library books!!
