6th Grade Art
Room 133
Mrs. Finn
Dear Parent or Guardian,
Hello! My name is Amber Finn and I am the Art teacher here at Argyle Sixth Grade Center. This will be my eighth year teaching Art in Argyle ISD. I have had such a wonderful experience in Argyle and I am so delighted to continue my teaching career here. I love to spend my spare time painting, drawing, sculpting, you name it. In my classroom we will spend time exploring many mediums in art.
This year in art, your student will be doing amazing things. We will learn about color theory, drawing techniques, the elements and principles of art and design, and the list goes on. We will also study a wide array of artists and art historical time periods as well as art styles and cultures from around the world. At the same time, I will be pulling in mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies for meaningful cross curricular connections. It is my main goal that all students will leave my art classroom with a strong capability to solve problems creatively, which is a highly sought after skill in today's world.
