I was born in San Diego, California, but in 2002 my family moved to Arizona. At only seven-years-old, I somehow didn't know where Arizona was or what it was like. "It's a desert," my parents told me. That evening I woke up crying after having a nightmare of running into a rattlesnake while walking to school. Since then I have grown to love this state, its people, its culture, and its enviroments.
I attended first Chandler-Gilbert Community College and earned an Associates in Theater. Then I transfered to Arizona State University where I recieved my two bachelor degrees; a BA in English (Literature) and a BA in Theater.
After I graduated I began working here at Arete Preparatory Academy, first as a substitute and ESSA, then my current place as a full-time teacher. Along with teaching here, I try to stay active in the theater world. I recently completed a certificate in stage combat from Paradise Valley Community College and am known to act locally on occasion.
When I am teaching, I am living my dream. Honestly, where else do I get to be paid to talk for hours about my passions?
