One of the best drills for athletes is the animal drill. The animal drill is when you have a number and your on one side and on the other is a person that has the same number as you. Then when your coach calls your number both you and the person on the other side goes to get the ball that your coach rolled. Who ever gets the ball is on offence and the other person is on defense!

There is one drill that really helps increase your speed, its called suicides. First you start under the basket, then you wait till your coach blows the whistle. You run to the foul line and back. Then you run to the half court line and back. Then you run to the other foul line and back and go all the way to the other basket and back.

This drill helps you move around,pass the ball and shoot. It's called a scrimmage, a scrimmage is when you play a basketball game and you can change the rules. For example you have to pass the ball at least three times before you shoot. Then when your in a game you can use these same skills you used at practice and score points.
