For student engagement and participation from home, I am recommending that you try Flipgrid, Padlet, or Wakelet. These are user friendly and offer you options for student responses. I am personally opting for Padlet, as it allows students to share a video, a written response, a drawing, an audio file (for those who do not want to share their faces)... endless possibilities. Padlet will allow us to sign up for a free trial (34 days) but then you would need to email them and ask to have the trial extended through June.

Student can demonstrate understanding by getting them to engage right away (at the beginning, middle or end of lesson.) Teachers can review responses in real time.
Teachers can publish takeaways, each student can have a personal takeaway that is saved in Doc. You can share this with a parent if the student was absent.
