Dear Parents/Carers,
I cannot believe we are at the end of the academic year. It has been a brilliant term here at Ardley Hill, with so many wonderful events taking place!
We have enjoyed the Arts through Mrs Dupont's excellent organisation of the annual Art and DT showcase. Thank you to you all for attending and for your generous donations and bids. I am sure you will agree that the standard of work on show was absolutely incredible.
This week, the weather was kinder (and not as hot!) and so we could enjoy our sports days across the school. Thank you for attending this; I hope you enjoyed it. I am sure you will agree that the organisation was fantastic and I know that your children all thoroughly enjoyed the day. A special thank you to Mr Dupont and Miss Hibbins who put a lot of work in to making these events so enjoyable.
Children have all worked very hard this year and I hope that you have enjoyed reading your child's school report. We are so proud of them all!
Our Year 6 children have now also received their SATS results. We are all very proud of the children and the progress that they have made. Well done!
Last night saw an absolutely outstanding performance from our incredible Year 6 children. We are sad to see these lovely children leave us but we know that they are all going to go on to achieve great things. The confidence, singing and star quality of each child on the stage was simply incredible and they should all be so proud of themselves. This group of children have grown so much during their time at the school; this year they have worked hard, with resilience, engagement and keen interest as they embarked upon their SATS. Each child has made progress that they should all be very proud of. Alongside their academic progress, they have also grown so much as individuals. We will all miss you Year 6!
I would like to thank you all for your support this year; Mrs Lang and I have really enjoyed getting to know all of the Ardley Hill families.
We are looking forward to a great year working alongside you all next year. But until then, enjoy the summer holidays with your wonderful children. We shall see you all in September.
Kind regards,
Mrs Waterman
Head of School
