This section will be updated closer to the time, however, this information is useful as a guide for now:
Now is the time to start thinking about and planning your arrival to Prom. You should arrive at school between 5.30pm-7.30pm (tbc). There are two ways you can arrive:
By vehicle
On foot
By Vehicle: You should park and queue outside the United Reformed Church on Station Road. A steward will be positioned there and will tell you when you can approach school where your arrival will be announced by your very own Prom DJ (using your themed name). You will disembark at the entrance gate and make your way down the red carpet. Your family and friends will move to the front of the parent enclosure when they hear your group name announced. (We ask that you pop your group name onto a piece of A4 paper and have it on display on the vehicle dashboard). When you enter the school building, please ensure you get your official prom photograph taken as soon as possible.
On Foot: You can walk to school or get dropped off at a safe point along Station Road and approach school on foot. A steward will quickly get your group name and your arrival will be announced in exactly the same way as those arriving by vehicle. From this point, the process is exactly the same as above. Please do not feel pressured to hire a vehicle as arriving on foot makes very little difference to the wonderful spectacle that is... the red carpet arrival!
From 7.45pm - you will board the coaches from the rear of the main hall or Cadbury building (tbc). We will set off for the Hotel at 8.00pm.
NEWSFLASH: Mr Don Mander of D A Mander & Sons Ltd (Knowle) has kindly offered to supply, free of charge, a brand new red carpet (our previous one was water damaged last year and had to be thrown away)! We would like to thank Mr Mander for his very generous sponsorship.
