The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) works to facilitate the development of leading-edge digital research infrastructure and processes, including trusted research environments (TREs). TREs are highly secure computing environments that provide remote access to sensitive data for analysis and research. They ensure data security and privacy while enabling analysts and researchers to conduct valuable studies on sensitive datasets without compromising confidentiality.
Unlock is a community of practice (CoP) dedicated to advancing responsible, secure, and streamlined access to health and research data across Australia through TREs. It is a collaboration between the ARDC and PHRN. It brings together researchers, TRE providers, vendors, and other stakeholders to share practical experience, address shared challenges, and explore innovative models. Join us as we embark on a journey of learning and collaboration together to facilitate improvements in the trusted research environment for Australian healthcare research.
The Unlock TRE CoP looks to:
explore current and potential future TRE provision in Australia
explore TREs' ability to meet researcher requirements for both now and into the future
address challenges and explore new ideas in the health research data TRE space.
This community of practice (CoP) will explore trusted research environments (TREs) as a secure platform for health data analysis.
Meetings are interactive and will include presentations, panels and discussion.
Meetings will be held quarterly for 1 hour, through Zoom.
