DMPs Interest Group

ABOUT

We are an Australasian interest group for people interested in discussing, building and improving Data Management Plans (DMPs) - best practice and technical tools.

MEMBERSHIP

Our membership includes data librarians, repository managers, infrastructure developers and anyone involved in managing or advocating for data management plans or their systems.

You can join the group email list by filling out the short application form on this page.

MEETINGS

We meet 3 times a year, online, for an hour. Generally the meetings are unrecorded, however slides and group notes are made available post-meeting. The focus is on sharing current activities and projects, new developments and resources and discussing interesting problems. A directory of past meeting notes can be found at: https://tiny.cc/DMP-IG

Our next meeting will be on July 29, 2024 - 2pm AEST, 1:30pm ACST, 12pm AWST, registration coming soon on the ARDC Eventbrite page.

RESOURCES

The ARDC Research Data Management Framework for Institutions has a useful section on Research Data Management Planning for universities and outlines benefits, planning practice considerations, training, culture change, integrations, ethics, essential components and much more.

The Data Repositories CoP has started a useful spreadsheet of Data Repository software used at Australian institutions, to which the DMP IG has added DMP Tools used at Australian Institutions and is available on request to members of either group.
