The Australian Research Data Repositories Community of Practice (DARE CoP) is a space for those within the breadth of research and research infrastructure organisations with an interest in Research Data Repositories to come together and discuss issues and improve on FAIR practices and services.

GOALS

The Research Data Repositories CoP will provide a forum to:

  • Meet other community members and experts across Australia working with Research Data Repositories with the aim of sharing experiences and knowledge about repository solutions and services being implemented and learn from others about best practice, workflows, technologies, support services as well as challenges faced.

  • Utilise a services evaluation framework based so the group as a whole can improve the FAIRness of their services.

  • Provide a place for members to informed of international developments in Data Repository Services.

  • Work with and complement other related activities including ARDC co-led DMP Interest Group, Trusted Data Repositories CoP, Institutional Underpinnings Project, Visible Research Software IG and various Research Data Alliance Groups.

Anyone from research and research infrastructure organisations with an interest in or working with research data repositories and associated services including repository managers, data librarians as well as infrastructure developers is encouraged to join this community.

Members may leave the group at any time by unsubscribing from the mailing list. Members agree to act in accordance with this Code of conduct. All information that you submit to the group will be treated in line with the ARDC Privacy Policy.

Meetings

It is expected there will be three virtual meetings per year using Zoom for an hour and a half each over the course of the year. Generally meetings will be unrecorded although meeting notes will be available to the Research Data Repositories CoP members.
