Finn Ommestrup is the CEO of Arctic EcoCapital and founder of several companies.
Former Captain in the Danish Armed Forces with 25 years of service, as well as internationally. After finishing his B.Sc in Civil Engineering he skills have been used on different projects internationally as well as within the windmill industry. After leaving the private sector, he has been working within the education sector teaching Project management and Engineering subjects at Bachelor level for 10 years. His latest position is with the Government of Greenland, as a Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Greenland’s largest educational institutions. His focus has been pushing Vocational and Bachelor education towards the forefront of the green transition within all sectors covered by the institution, to better prepare the Greenlandic workforce for the future. His last project was to developed the content of a national Greenlandic curriculum within the electrical sector regarding solar cells, wind turbines, batteries etc.
He has on the side transitioned over to work as a freelance broker for Green Angle in Denmark, before opening Arctic EcoCapital.
When Finn isn’t working he is either watching the world from above as a glider- and paraglider pilot, or working on helping friends and colleagues building off-grid cabins in the backcountry. In winter he mushes he dogsled team or drives snowmobiles to his hut or friends Cabins.
