The type of submission will vary from class to class and some work may not require you to upload any documents. If there are files attached to the task e.g. PowerPoints or Booklet and you would like to edit them, you may have to download them by clicking on the file and selecting the 'down arrow icon' in the right hand corner. Once downloaded you can open and edit these files on your computer.
Alternatively if the files are PowerPoint or Word documents you can open them using google slides or google docs and edit them there. To do this simply click on the file and click the 'open with google slides' or 'open with google docs' button at the top of the preview.
If you do not see the 'Add or Create' button on the right hand side of the task then you are not required to upload any files as this is a material and not an assignment. You can also notice this when you click on the 'view assignment' or 'view material' button that is on each task on the classwork tab. Assignments have deadlines and you can add files, materials do not.
You MUST use your firstname.lastname@archbishopmg.co.uk username to access the school Google Classrooms. For security reasons you cannot join any classrooms or access any material from a Google Account that is not an @archbishopmg.co.uk email.
If you are attempting to join classes and the codes are not working please check the account that you are signed in under. Additionally please check that you are typing the correct classroom code. A full list of classroom codes can be found here.
Some of the files and documents that your teacher would like you to use will not open in the browsing window. Files, such as sounds files, publisher documents or video files will need to downloaded so that you can view them or edit them.
To download any file you must click on it once then click on the 'down arrow icon' in the top right hand corner. You can then open the file to view or edit it. If you need to edit the file e.g. A digital workbook you can save the changes you have made and then upload this to the assignment to give to your teacher.
