Nargis is our makeup brand that bridges the gap between skincare and makeup. Our project is a line of cosmetics that are acne-loving, skincare-infused, hypoallergenic, with spf protection. Our goal is to ensure that everyone who uses the product will experience protected skin, and feel confident with makeup that is actually beneficial for your skin. Our impact extends beyond aesthetics; we aim to empower individuals with radiant, healthy skin, fostering a community where beauty is synonymous with well-being and confidence. According to some of our primary research, 80% said something doesn’t work for them in the product they are currently using. After some further research, we compared our product to a competitor. The MAC Studio Radiance Studio Fix Foundation had 6.5% of its customers complain about it being too oily and irritating their skin. Although this number doesn’t seem significant, these customers are important to us, as per our goal to include as many skin types as possible while specifically catering to acne prone skin.
The first product will be a foundation that can be applied with a beauty blender, brush, or your fingers. It will be non-comedogenic, complete with SPF protection, with coverage that can be built up for a natural look or a full glam. It is breathable and lightweight, with a satin-like finish, and is long lasting. It is actively benefiting your skin the longer you wear it, as it is a fusion with skincare ingredients. As indicated by Euromonitor, a leading market research firm, the beauty industry is experiencing a surge in brands striving to adhere to the 'clean' beauty movement. The target demographic for our product is primarily young adults and teenagers, who value makeup as an integral part of their daily routine. Despite the growing trend for ‘clean beauty’, many brands often miss the mark in seamlessly integrating the two aspects. Nargis is dedicated to steering clear of any potentially harmful chemicals, such as formaldehyde, paraformaldehyde, and talc, which is part of our commitment to transparency and sticking to the highest standards in order to ensure you know exactly what you're putting on your skin.
In terms of our target market, Nargis is looking to target people with: acne-prone skin, skin allergies or conditions, sensitive skin, people who want a hybrid product between skincare and makeup, as well as people with a passion for protecting their skin and feeling confident in it. We intend to promote our brand through social media platforms, utilizing TikTok to launch a makeup application challenge featuring our products. Additionally, we'll share quick and captivating videos demonstrating easy application techniques using beauty blenders, brushes, or fingertips. Leveraging Instagram's visual appeal, we'll showcase our sleek packaging. Through Instagram Stories and Reels, we'll craft engaging, concise content focusing on our foundation. Given its popularity among beauty influencers and enthusiasts, Instagram also presents an ideal platform for collaborations and broad exposure.
