The Senior Capstone Project serves as a culmination of a student's academic journey by providing them with a unique opportunity to combine their years of coursework, academic and personal experiences, and interest of study into an extended project. In the field of sport management, this year's capstone projects delve into various topical areas, ranging from the WNBA game prediction to the impact of turnovers on the NFL game outcomes. Each project demonstrates the students' proficiency in research, problem-solving skills, and data analysis skills. Their presentations and study abstracts are accessible below, showcasing the diverse and insightful perspectives they bring to the world of sport management. These projects not only enhance the students' professional development but also contribute to the growth of the field as a whole.

Connor Bowey is a senior at Arcadia University pursuing a major in Sports Management.
Connor is a 2-year member of Arcadia’s Men’s Hockey team, served as Assistant Captain for
two seasons in which he had a great internship experience through his college career. Following
his sophomore year, he gained experience in the sports field working for Hockey Canada in
which after his junior year he was able to work another year for the company, gaining experience specifically by helping with paying of expenses, re-imbursing players and staff, cross referencing documents, post U18/U20 Camp Survey to players and staff. With Connors successful college experience, it has helped him develop his management skills, communications skills and a strong work ethic which will help Connor follow his career and future of working in the sports field.

Amadeus Cannon is a highly motivated and results-driven senior at Arcadia University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration. He has a distinguished record as a 5-year member of the Men's Volleyball team at Arcadia. Throughout his college career, Amadeus has gained a diverse range of work experience. In the summer of 2021, he served as an athletic department intern at Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA, where he assisted in coordinating game schedules, transportation, and creating a safe environment for young athletes. He was also a volunteer for Liberty boy's volleyball team and Cheltenham girl's volleyball team, where he provided training on proper form, performance-enhancing techniques, and sportsmanship to help athletes develop their skills and abilities. Amadeus has also completed an internship at SoFive Soccer Center, where he gained valuable experience in scheduling and booking facility rentals. Through these experiences, Amadeus has developed excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas and collaborate effectively with colleagues. He also possesses strong time management skills, enabling him to meet project deadlines and balance multiple tasks simultaneously. These skills, coupled with his passion for sports, make him a highly valuable addition to any sports-related organization. Amadeus is determined to pursue a successful career in the sports industry, where he can utilize his skills and expertise to make a significant contribution to the field.
Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers: How turnovers affect teams' winning percentage in the NFL

Shane Clinton is a senior at Arcadia University pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Sport Management and a minor in Business Administration. Shane is a 4-year member of the men’s lacrosse team at Arcadia. During his time at Arcadia he has had the opportunity to intern at a couple different places. The summer after his sophomore year he interned with Black Bear Lacrosse Club(a travel lacrosse club) learning and working with social media in order display the players’ talent with the club and also create Instagram posts marketing club events. After his junior year he interned with Reading United(a semi-pro soccer club) where he worked game day management and setup as well learning numerous aspects of event management. These experiences have helped him learn the importance of using social media, working with others to set up events, and communicating and working with new people. Shane believes these skill will help him pursue his career working in sports.

Hunter Curley is a senior at Arcadia University pursuing a major in sports management and a minor in Graphic Design. Hunter is a 4-Year, going on 5-Year member of the Arcadia Baseball Team, being a team captain for his 4th and 5th year. Hunter has had three great internship
experiences in working with managerial and graphic design work, working with different baseball organizations with coaching and running social media accounts. Hunter has also run the Arcadia Baseball Instagram account while being a big part of the team. All of these experiences have taught Hunter many skills with management and graphic design to help him pursue his goals of working for a professional organization.

Zachary Fereno is a senior at Arcadia University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management while minoring in Media Communications. He is from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Zachary is a 4-year member of the Arcadia Men’s Soccer Program. Throughout Zachary’s career at Arcadia University, he was an intern for two different organizations. During the summer going into his Junior year, Zachary interned for Tunnel Vision Sports, a small sports media company based in Detroit. During his internship, Zachary wrote 32 sports articles and collaborated with other journalists on company projects. In his Senior year, Zachary interned for Soccer Shots as a Youth Soccer Coach. Zachary worked with a variety of age groups while helping children explore soccer in a structured and fun environment. Zachary aspires to carry on his professional goals as a sports journalist as well as pursuing his goals in youth coaching.

Trey Obarowski, a senior at Arcadia University, is pursuing a major in Sport Management with a concentration in management. Trey has been a 4-year member of Arcadia’s Baseball team and has developed a strong work ethic along with valuable insight on the inner workings of sports teams and management. During the difficult times of COVID-19, Trey secured a valuable internship working as a member of the Newtown Sports Training Center. Throughout this internship, Trey gained valuable experience of running one of the largest indoor sports facilities in Bucks County PA. This Summer, Trey will be interning as a Baseball Operations intern with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League. This opportunity will help sharpen his skills and give further insight into the workings of a professional sports team. With his prior experiences and a new one this summer, Trey is well on his way to achieving his career goals of working in the world of professional sports.

Siana Wynn is a senior at Arcadia University pursuing a major in Sport Management and a minor in Law and Public Policy. Throughout her time at Arcadia, Siana has been involved heavily in the Sport Management Club, and even started her own Arcadia Sport Management Podcast show where she interviewed staff, alumni, and other professionals in the sports industry. During the end of her freshman year, she gained insightful knowledge working at Competitive Edge Sports located in King of Prussia, Pennslyvannia. As an Assistant Site Director there, she learned the ins and outs of how to run a sports facility that hosts special events such as Basketball and Volleyball tournaments. During the summer’s of her sophomore and junior years she had the opportunity to work with ESF, as their head sport’s specialist where she was in charge of helping to improve young children’s skills in a variety of different sports such as soccer, softball, basketball, and field hockey. She also interned with the Killino Firm where she gained first hand experience through various tasks and engagements in the legal field. Throughout these academic experiences, she developed great leadership and organizational skills that have helped prepare her to further pursue a career in Sports Law.
