All about Mrs. Morrison

Welcome to my online classroom! My name is Michele Morrison. I live in Freeport, Illinois with my husband, Mark, and my son, Micah. We have one housecat, Marcus. We also care for our neighborhood cat family - Blackie, Binx, Fuzz, and Lil' Mama. My husband teaches Special Education at Freeport Middle School, and my son is a 2021 graduate of Aquin.

I love spending time with family and friends, traveling, and enjoying the great outdoors. I grew up in Lena, Illinois and graduated from Lena-Winslow High School. I attended Western Illinois University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. I began my teaching career at the YMCA in the Pre-school program. While at the YMCA, I also developed and supervised the Before and After School Program (SACC) at the local elementary schools and middle school. I left that position to take a temporary position teaching English/Journalism, Broadcasting/Computers, and Newspaper at Freeport High School. In October of 2004, I took a part-time position working in the library here at Aquin. The following year, I began my full-time teaching career at Aquin. I currently teach classroom Math, ALEKS Math, and Computers. I am very passionate about my love of math and computers!
