Application Instructions & Forms

Please only submit one application. Be sure all of your identifying information (name, ID number, contact info, etc.) is accurate.

The priority deadline for applications is Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 11:59PM. Applications will be accepted after this date, however, individuals who submit applications on or before January 7 will receive priority consideration for the position.

There are three essay questions which are part of the application. You will likely need 1-2 paragraphs. Since you must complete this application all at once, we have provided the essay questions for you here. We encourage you to save your responses to these questions on your computer prior to starting the application, then, simply copy and paste your responses into the application form.

The essay questions are as follows:

• What is an aspect of the Residential Experience that attracted you to the RA position?

• Highlight 2-3 qualities or skills you posses which you believe will help you be successful as a Resident Assistant. Share an experience from a previous job, organization, team, or club where you have used these qualities previously.

• What do diversity and inclusion mean to you? How do these concepts impact your life?

Please only submit one resume. Be sure all of your identifying information (name, ID number, contact info, etc.) is accurate.

When updating your resume, please be sure to list any experiences that may be applicable to the RA position, based on what you have read in the job description.

Note that the your resume counts as part of your overall applicant evaluation, so be sure to upload your resume by the priority deadline date (11:59pm January 7, 2024).

Resumes should be uploaded in PDF or .DOCX formats. Please do not upload/share via Google Docs. If you have difficulty submitting your resume, please email raselection@aquinas.edu with "ATTN: RA Application" in the subject.

The purpose of this video is to provide each applicant with an opportunity to show the Hiring Committee their personality and share a little about themselves outside of an interview environment.

The requirements for the Intro Videos are below. We encourage you to show us your version of creativity. Videos will be part of the overall application consideration, so please put effort into this piece of the application process.

1. All videos must be between 3-5 minutes long. 

2. The following questions should be answered in the video submission:

   • Introduce yourself (beyond just your name) - tell us about who you are. Share something interesting about yourself - something that helps us remember you.

   • Share with us why you are interested in the RA position.

   • Share with us an idea for a program that you would like to put on as an RA. Here are some overall areas to think about:

     1. What is the main topic of the program?

     2. What are you hoping the residents gain from attending this program?

     3. What supplies would you need for the program?

3. All videos must be submitted as a MP4 file.

4. All creative introduction video submissions are due by 11:59PM on January 7, 2024 by emailing the file to raselection@aquinas.edu with “ATTN: RA Application” in the subject line.
