Planning Schedule

Steps:

1. Register by February 23, 2026 for a discount.  It is highly recommended that you register for a legislative appointment.  Find your California Representative in order to know which State Assembly or State Senate District to sign up for (links provided when you register).

2. Professor Margaret Lee will discuss Lobby Days in the Foundation year Azusa Policy courses.

3. Book a Sacramento downtown hotel (near the Convention Center) or Airbnb 

4. Plan for transportation: driving or booking a flight 

5. Fill out the Lobby Days APU Student Info Form: 

6. Gather APU spirit materials from MSWSA including posters, spirit materials, swag, etc.  

Lobby Days Event

Sunday: Conference Center Lobby Days Training.  Work your APU T-shirt

1. MSWSA student liaisons meet at 7:30 AM to reserve tables so that APU can sit together

2. Opening Remarks start at 9 AM but please plan to arrive by 8:30 AM

3. You will receive your legislative appointment time and meet with your legislative team on this day

Monday: State Capitol Legislative Appointments: Wear professional attire

1. Please come to the 11 AM rally if it does not conflict with your legislative appointment 

2. You may leave as soon as your legislative appointment is over.  But please be aware that some legislative appointments may go until 4 PM.
