A Faculty Guide to Remote-Hybrid Learning

Hi friends,

Well, you did it! You made it through the fall and the challenges of remote teaching and learning! Since President Ferguson announced that we will be remaining in remote learning for spring 2021, we want to continue resourcing you through this website and will be providing updates throughout the spring semester.

So, first of all, let's give a shout out to all of the Remote Teaching Consultants (RTCs) who agreed to support their peer colleagues over the fall semester. They cheerfully came alongside faculty to share insights and expertise about teaching with technology. And now, a number of them have shared their remote teaching successes, along with other faculty members who graciously took the time to create a 2-minute or less “Flip Grid” video. Click here to view your faculty colleagues as they talk briefly about a remote teaching and learning topic that helped them engage student learning this year!

For additional resourcing opportunities, make sure to be on the lookout through the Provost Newsletter communications and Canvas email ads for upcoming classroom technology, zoom, and other hands-on training sessions. And, as a reminder, we are still offering frequent resource articles and tips through our APU Faculty Facebook Group. If you haven’t yet joined, we invite you to do so. Be safe and well - we continue to pray for you and your students and are grateful for all the work you do to ensure student success.

Feel free to contact CTLA at ctla@apu.edu for additional assistance or to be connected with a remote teaching consultant in your school/college. You can also schedule department or program-wide training with CTLA by filling out this request form.

Best wishes,

Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment
