The Azusa Scholars Program is designed to develop the recipients’ leadership skills and to promote their community service involvement, particularly in the city of Azusa. The Program encompasses a variety of events designed to facilitate the students’ personal, professional, academic, and spiritual growth and success through the use of faculty and community speakers, team-building activities, off-campus service projects, and assigned mentoring relationships.
1. Participants will be able to understand and utilize their own unique leadership skills and abilities.
2. Participants will demonstrate a strong and consistent civic engagement in the city of Azusa.
3. Participants will demonstrate a greater understanding of the purpose of seeking out mentoring relationships.
4. Participants will demonstrate targeted growth in the areas of diversity, leadership, spiritual formation, and community development.
