2014 Distinguised Alumni Award - Amy Graley, MSW

Amy Graley, MSW, was presented the award by Dr. Mary Rawlings, Ph.D., LCSW, Chair, Social Work Department, at the Alumni Reunion, May 31st.

Amy Graley received her BSW from APU and her MSW from Cal State Long Beach. Following her passion for work with older adults, she has worked in the field of geriatric social work for over a decade providing direct practice and program administration for Santa Anita Family Service, a private non-profit organization. Additionally, she has experience with provision of inpatient mental health services, residential child welfare services, non-profit board and program development and grant writing.

Amy has been an APU Social Work adjunct faculty member, as well as a field instructor, for a number of years. She also serves as a volunteer with several community service organizations in the Los Angeles area. Part of Amy’s course load as adjunct faculty is in the area of grant writing. She has been very successful with receiving grant awards that directly affect her work with the aging population.

Congratulations Amy! We are proud you are part of our Social Work family!
