Principal - Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar 

Dr. Rashmi Vij, Principal, Police DAV Public School holds a Doctorate in Psychology, with a brilliant academic record, and a gold medalist in MA (Psychology). 

She started her career as a lecturer in HMV College in November 1987 and joined Police DAV Public School as The Founder Principal in year 1996. 

She is the Manager of Police DAV Public School, Amritsar, Patiala and Ludhiana, and the Co–ordinator of all Police DAV Schools of Punjab. She is also the City Coordinator for CBSE Schools of Jalandhar District. She has been felicitated with number of awards. 

• National Teacher Award – 2007 by the Honourable President of India Smt. Pratibha Patil; 

• The Best Principal Award by the DAV Management Committee, New Delhi; 

• Scout Award by National Innovation Foundation for promoting innovative thinking in school ; 

• Award by District Administration for contribution in the field of education,

 • Ed Leadership’s outstanding contribution to education award by Council for Global Education, USA; 

• Global Teacher Accreditation Award – 2012 by British Council for her action research; 

• Management Excellence Award by Management Industrial Development Institute, federation of Asian Business in Europe (UK) for her outstanding contribution in the field of education. 

She is designating various institutions and associations as Vice President, Asian Pacific Tchoukball Federation, Secretary General- Tchoukball Federation of India; President of Jalandhar Distt. Roller Skating Association (Regd.); Co-Chairperson of SPICMACAY Jalandhar Chapter; British Council School Ambassador for various advocacy programmes of British Council. 

She is CBSE Resource Person for various subjects. She is invited to address various National and International Seminars and Conferences on Education and Counselling. As a Researcher her research papers are published in various journals of repute. Her areas of expertise are Assessment & Evaluation, life skills, classroom management, motivation and leadership, innovation in education, pre-primary education, creativity and emotional intelligence.
