Welcome to intervention. I am so excited to be working with you this year. This year We will be talking about what an IEP is and what YOUR part in this is. During our time together we will be working on IEP goals and school work. I am here to help you with being the best student you can be. I will be working with grades 4, 5, and 6.
A little bit about myself. I have been teaching for Akron Public Schools for 22 years as an intervention specialist. I have also spent time as a literacy coach for the school district. I have been teaching at Miller South for over 16 years and am excited for the start of this year. I am committed to promoting the education and well-being of all children in an inclusive environment that celebrates each student’s individual strengths. I have an MA in education from the University of Akron and an MFA in acting from CWRU. I am also the co-founder of The Center for Applied Drama and Autism. Before I was a teacher I was a professional actress and toured the country. I live with my husband Alan and two fur babies, my dog Ginger and my cat Itty Bitty.
