A little bit about myself. I have been teaching for Akron Public Schools for 22 years as an intervention specialist. I have also spent time as a literacy coach for the school district. I have been teaching at Miller South for over 16 years and am excited for the start of this year. I am committed to promoting the education and well-being of all children in an inclusive environment that celebrates each student’s individual strengths. I have an MA in education from the University of Akron and an MFA in acting from CWRU. I am also the co-founder of The Center for Applied Drama and Autism. Before I was a teacher I was a professional actress and toured the country. I live with my husband Alan and two fur babies, my dog Ginger and my cat Itty Bitty.
