What do I do if I don’t have technology to apply online or I need help uploading supporting documents?

Can my child audition for more than 1 area in 6th grade? 

Please review the Arts “At-A-Glance” and Audition requirements and choose 1 area to apply and audition for. Choose an area where your child has the most strengths. Students can always add a secondary interest at in the 7th and 8th grade levels.

Do I need to take private lessons to attend Miller South?

While private lessons are encouraged for students, they are not required and a majority of students practice independently with the support of our amazing staff and resources used within the classroom. 

Can my child have an IEP/504 and come to Miller South?

Yes! We will review all documentation to ensure we can provide FAPE in addition to an authentic experience for Arts and Education. All 504 plans are reviewed at the start of the school year to ensure accommodations are appropriate and can be supported to meet the individual needs of your child.

Do you offer Gifted Services at Miller South?

We have two certified gifted teachers, Mrs. Spratley (Grades 4-5) and Ms. Thompson (Grades 6-8). All students in the gifted program will have a Written Education Plan (WEP) that is reviewed annually to support academic success. 

Do you offer transportation at Miller South?

While transportation is a responsibility of the families who attend Miller South, we do help organize communication to establish car pools for families who attend Miller South. We currently serve students of Summit and all surrounding counties. 

Do you have Sports Teams at Miller South?

While we do not have school based sports teams, we do offer opportunities for numerous clubs and programs. There is a district cross country team that students can join and you may also participate in your building of residence programs if you attend Miller South.
