As another Homecoming dance approaches, Firestone has announced what the spirit week themes will be for the week of October 17th, prior to the dance.

Monday - Adam Sandler

Tuesday - BBQ Dads v. Soccer Moms

Wednesday - Y2K

Thursday - Pink Out

Friday - Falcon Friday (Green & Gold)

Every student is encouraged to participate in spirit week in order to show their school spirit and enthusiasm for Homecoming. If you’re stuck, feel free to Google “Adam Sandler outfits”, and you’ll be sure to find hundreds of pictures of the famous celebrity’s infamous paparazzi shots, usually picturing him wearing much-too-large pants and an oversized t-shirt, and maybe a baseball cap. On Tuesday, expect to either see kids in aprons and holding spatulas or dressed in soccer/athletic gear. Y2K, which is short for “year 2000”, can be recognizable by its low-rise jeans, bedazzled logos, denim on denim, and tiny bags. Pink out means wearing only pink clothes, and Falcon Friday should be only Firestone merch or green and gold colored clothes. This spirit week, as well as spirit weeks in the past, has been chosen by our student council, and the student body is encouraged to give feedback and new ideas for next year’s spirit week so that the student council can be sure to choose themes that everyone is excited about.
