The role of the school library and librarian is changing with our more modern times. Our mission is still to serve as a resource for reading, media, information & digital literacy.  We are here to support Ellet CLC students and staff in meeting their future ready goals.

What you can expect of your Library Media Specialist:

Collaboration: Encourage teachers to share projects and unit ideas

Leadership: Assist and /or conduct professional development for staff, Advocate for the library media program and credentialed school librarians who develop students reading literacy & 21st century skills

Lifelong Learning: Stay knowledgeable about curriculum and educational technology trends through professional development, reading journals, etc.

Compassion/Caring: Taking the time to understand students’ and teachers’ needs and building a library collection that reflects that.
