Jamont Lane discovered his love for music while mastering his craft on horns at Cleveland Avenue Elementary, Crawford W. Long Middle, and South Atlanta High Schools. Upon graduating high school, Lane matriculated at the legendary Morris Brown College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education. During his tenure, he served as trumpet section leader in the infamous Wolverine band for four years and band president for over two years. He began his career in DeKalb County School District and served as an assistant band director at Towers High School. After only one semester, he accepted the position as director of bands at Booker T. Washington High School. While at Washington, he led the Marching Bulldogs as one of the fictional bands performing in the popular film, Drumline. Two and a half years later, Lane accepted the position of director of bands at South Atlanta High School. Determined to expose students to the arts outside of Georgia, he has traveled with the Marching Hornets to perform in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Some of their performances include the Chick-fil-A Bowl parade, the Eggleston Children's Hospital Christmas Parade, Universal Studios STARS Performance Program in Orlando, Mardi Gras parades, and Battle of the Bands. Most notably, the band has performed for well-known R&B recording artists 112, New Edition, and recently featured in Janelle Monae’s music video for her hit single, “Electric Lady.” He has also led the symphonic and marching bands to receive several superior ratings in competitions and performances throughout Metropolitan Atlanta.

Lane has immense personal accomplishments in the musical arena. He was a member of the Atlanta Olympic Band and performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade in New York. He recorded all live horns on the song "Player" by 112. He also performed with the Marching Wolverine Band on OutKast’s song, “Morris Brown” and the video for their hit song, “Rosa Parks.” A member of Kappa Kappa Psi Band Fraternity and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), he has served as the Atlanta Public Schools High School Band Arts Resource Team Lead and the South Atlanta Fine Arts Cluster Representative. He has also served as band director for Xanadu Summer Camp for gifted students and the trumpet instructor and band director for APS summer band camps. Lane has earned the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers and the Stellar Teacher awards twice. Under his outstanding leadership, South Atlanta has developed a very active and inviting band program that has grown tremendously in popularity. He welcomes all students who display a willingness to learn and commitment.

Mariam Robinson is director of choral activities for South Atlanta High School in Atlanta, Georgia. She teaches students vocal techniques readying them to perfrom on the world stage. Ms. Robinson has been singing all her life, and performing on stage since the age of 5 years old in St. Louis, Missouri. As a kid she was enrolled in ballet, and tap, and by the age of 6 was also studying piano. As a high school student Mariam found herself perfoming with the Normandy Chorale, Swing Choir, and as a sophomore she began studying voice privately under Christine Armested at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. For three years she performed with The Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and upon graduation earned a full scholarship to Alabama A&M University to study music under Mr. Richard R. Tucker, and Mrs. Lady Tucker.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama. In her spare time Ms. Robinson also educates students in the area of piano, songwriting, and music industry. She has more than 10 years experience as a professional performer and artist development coach. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and is the host of, “The MiMi Brand Podcast”, while releasing 2 singles as an independent artist.

Angelica Pugh grew up dancing in ballet, jazz, hip hop and modern genres. Although her mother couldn’t afford to put her in dance classes & with dance not being offered in school, she had a natural talent and was eager to learn. Her cousin, who was also a dancer, would assist her in studying the dance basics & by watching/practicing along with her favorite dance shows faithfully, she knew that dance was what she wanted to do professionally. Pugh would later have the opportunity to professionally study the art of dance & theater attending Clark Atlanta University on a cheerleading scholarship. She would soon transfer and graduate from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater & Dance. After graduating Ms. Pugh performed as a dancer & actress for Atlanta theatrical, screen and dance productions with companies such as ARCH Productions, Steel City Pictures, National Black Arts Festival, TrebleMakers Dance Project & The People’s Network. Her love for dance grew into choreography, later teaching and directing for Cobb County Schools, Fulton County Schools, Atlanta Public Schools, Future Foundation, Tinseltown Performing Arts Studio, Oasis Family Life Church and Word of Faith Family Cathedral's Summer Camp 212.

Throughout the years Ms. Pugh furthered her love for the arts Atlanta community by becoming more than a dancer, actress and educator but an artistic director & leader. Obtaining awards & affiliations such as: Nonprofit University of Georgia Center for Nonprofits, High Potential Diverse Leaders Program 2018 Certificate of Completion , Georgia ​Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for the 16th Annual Congressional Performing Arts Competition by Congress of the United States /David Scott 13th District, Atlanta Regional Commission ALMA Class 2019 (Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta) & Fulton County Arts & Culture Emerging Arts Project Panel.

Ms. Pugh’s goal as an Artistic Director, educator & choreographer is to do way more than just teach dance steps and yell '5,6,7,8' but to inspire future performers to use their very own stories to push them to perform, get in shape, express themselves artistically and to move your mind, body and soul. In addition to Ms. Pugh’s role at South Atlanta High School, she is currently in graduate school at Georgia State University pursuing her Master’s Degree in Creative & Innovative Education, is the Founder, Artistic Director & Choreographer of Angel Le Choreography Company, a writer, an actress and the proud mother of two sons that are ages 8 and 14. .

David Koté is an award winning theatre director, actor, and educator. He began at Tri-Cities High School of Visual and Performing Arts and acclaimed Freddie Hendricks Youth Ensemble of Atlanta. Koté earned a B.A. degree in speech and theatre arts from Dillard University and M.F.A. in directing from Indiana University. His theatre credits include Jitney, Pill Hill, In the Red and Brown Water, Purlie, Flyin’ West, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Joe Turner's Come and Gone, My Children! My Africa! And Macbeth. He has also appeared in HBO's A Lesson Before Dying, CBS's Mama Flora's Family and TNT's Passing Glory. He has performed in South Africa, Belgium, Amsterdam and all over the United States. Koté served as Director of Theatre Arts at Tri-Cities High School Visual and Performing Arts Magnet where he received many awards for his work including The Charles Loridans Foundation for excellence and leadership in theatre education. Kote’s production of The Color Purple at Actor’s Express is 2019 Suzi Bass Award winner for Outstanding Production Musical and Outstanding Direction Musical.

Tokie Rome-Taylor is a visual artist and educator based in Atlanta, GA. who earned her B.A. from Morris Brown College, studying with the likes of Fred Ajanogha, Frank T. Martin, Lee Ransaw, and Christopher Hickey, amongst others. She went on to earn both a Masters and Specialist from Lesley University. While versed in a wide range of mediums, she primarily creates using photography. Her photography career began early, where at the age of 17, she was given the honor of creating portraits of Coretta Scott King for the book, The Many Faces of Sweet Auburn. Rome-Taylors' work explores family, featured on Adobe Create, Behind the Shutter Magazine, and Art-Diction Magazine. She has been featured on several podcasts discussing her practice including StudioNoize and National Black Arts Festival:ReImagined. She was shortlisted for a TILA fellowship and is a Funds for Teachers Fellowship recipient, studying photography in Santa Fe, New Mexico and in San Francisco, California. She is a finalist for Critical Mass Portfolio, an honorable mention recipient for the International Photography Awards (2019)- sponsored by the Lucie Foundation. She is a 2019 recipient of the 2019 Virginia Twinam Smith Purchase Award.

Rome-Taylor’s portraits have been featured in several museums, galleries and exhibitions including the Masur Museum (LA), ArtFields (SC), Johns Creek Art Center, (GA) The High Rise Exhibition (GA), Emerging Photographers Exhibition curated by Mechi Mecho (GA), Zuckerman Museum of Art (GA), Auburn Research Library (GA), Callanwolde Fine Arts Center (GA) Hartsfield Jackson International Airport (GA), the ArtXchange (GA) and Alan Avery Selects: APG Gallery Show (GA).

Taylor's work is held in several private collections as well as by the Fulton County Arts Council, The City of Decatur, Ga. and The Museum of Contemporary Art, Georgia.

She has five bright, beautiful children, a wonderful husband, a love of science fiction and learning new things.
