Hello! Ms. Brinkmann here.

I was born in New York. I later moved to Pennsylvania where I attended high school. My favorite subjects in school were Spanish and Reading. After high school, I attended Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio where I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I began teaching in Atlanta’s private schools; 5th grade and preschool, but I missed Special Education. I spent one year as an Autism teacher K-2nd in Cobb County and then joined APS. This is my third year in APS. My favorite subject to teach is Reading. I recently completed my Orton Gillingham Reading certification and am currently earning my Gifted Endorsement.

When I’m not teaching or lesson planning, I enjoy checking out the plethora of festivals in Atlanta, exploring new restaurants, cooking international cuisines : my favorite - authentic tacos from scratch! I also enjoy hiking, running, and day trips to the mountains of north Georgia!
