Hello Parents,

I’m excited to be your child’s music teacher for another FUNtastic school year at M. Agnes. Jones Elementary! I am looking forward to an exciting school year! Your student will learn new musical concepts, create exciting projects, and get to make new friends. It is my goal to provide all students with a safe, welcoming, engaging, empowering environment full of learning.

Grading Scale

3rd-5th

Recorder instrument (provided from previous year by Ms. Blankson)

Each student will receive two music grades. Every week students will receive a participation grade. Every two weeks students will receive a skill grade.

Participation grade will be based on: 1. Conduct and Effort 2. Being prepared with necessary materials.
Skill grade will be based on ability in music 50% Participation 20% Tests/ Quiz HW/Projects 30%
