The International Club celebrates the many distinct cultures on campus while also highlighting the commonalities between these groups. The purpose of the International Club is to foster a sense of identity, acceptance, and belonging for all Midtown High School students, to acknowledge, bring attention to, and celebrate the rich cultural and ethnic diversity of the entire Midtown High community, and to discuss domestic and international issues that impact our society.
The International Club is devoted to cultural emersion and its activities are designed to encourage socialization, education, and communication. Listed below is an outline of club activities:
Movies, Music, and Movement
View movies, listen, and dance to music from different countries and cultures
View English language movies to build vocabulary.
Tutorial videos
We will create our own educational videos featuring the country/culture we are studying
International Cuisine Days
We will enjoy sharing ethnic foods from the various countries that we are learning about.
Community Activities
Club members will plan and participate in international holiday celebrations and various community service activities
