About me

My name is Mrs. Hunter. I was born and raised in the beautiful island of Jamaica! I lived there for 18 years before moving to Augusta Georgia. I attended Georgia Regents University (now renamed Augusta University) where I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Master of Arts in Teaching Degrees. I worked as a student assistant in the Math Tutoring center at the University, where I assisted my colleagues with HW/ Test help for various math classes including Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, Calculus II and Probability & Statistics. My love for helping students and doing math lead me to pursue a career in teaching. I am extremely humbled and happy to be a teacher at Midtown High for a little over 9 years. My husband's name is Michael Hunter and we have a son Lucas who is now 6! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching Disney movies, walking and of course doing math.. :) I am looking forward to a wonderful year with you all.
