Benefits of an IB Education
Benefits of an IB Education
Students at International Baccalaureate® (IB) World Schools are given a unique, challenging and diverse education.
IB learners are:
encouraged to think critically and solve complex problems
drive their own learning
a core part in educational programmes that can lead them to some of the highest-ranking universities around the world
more culturally aware through the development of a second language
able to engage with people in an increasingly globalized, rapidly changing world.
Throughout all IB programmes (PYP, MYP, CP, DP) students develop approaches to learning skills and the attributes of the IB learner profile. The IB learner is positively challenged to think critically and to learn in a flexible environment crossing disciplinary, cultural and national boundaries.
IB students take responsibility for their own learning and understand how knowledge itself is constructed.
Our programmes help IB students:
ask challenging questions
think critically
learn across disciplines
develop research skills proven to help them in higher education.
IB programmes also encourage students to be active in their communities and to take their learning beyond academic study.
