Applied Digital Skills is a curriculum that is designed to arm students with practical skills that will help them succeed at school, in the workplace and in life, all while promoting student engagement in the classroom!

Applied Digital Skills is a free, video-based, self-paced, online curriculum that prepares students of all ages for the growing number of jobs that require basic digital skills.

How do I access Applied Digital Skills

You can access Applied Digital Skills in one of two ways:

Find the Applied Digital Skills icon located in your myBackpack portal.
Click on this link: https://applieddigitalskills.withgoogle.com/s/en/home

Once you are on the main page, click on the "Sign In" button located at the top right hand corner of your screen (see the image below).

Once you click the blue "Sign In" button, select your APS student account. You will then click the "Student" box (see the image to the right).

Sign in with your Atlanta Public Schools student login and password. From this dashboard, click on the blue "Join a Class" button on the left hand side of the screen.

A pop up box will appear! Locate the "Class Code" below. Enter the "Class Code" into the pop up box. It's case sensitive so enter it EXACTLY as you see it!

Enter the "Class Code" to the left of this text box into the "Join a Class" pop up box. It is filled with lessons that you can complete to continue your learning this summer.

Once you enter the appropriate "Join a Class" code, a confirmation box will appear. Click the blue "Yes, Join" box.

You will then see the class that you have joined! You will notice that there are already some lessons that have been preloaded there for you. Select any of them to get started! You don't have to complete them in order. Additional lessons will be added throughout the summer!

Once you've selected the lesson that you're interested in, the lesson will open. Click the blue "Start" button and off you go! Remember, these lessons are self paced so you can complete them at your own leisure!

Each lesson will give you information about how long the lesson will take to complete if you go through it from beginning to end along with the Google Apps (ie. Slides, Docs, Sheets, etc) that you will learn about while completing that particular lesson. You will also see the skills that you'll learn by completing that lesson!
