EOC Test Prep Course Offerings 6-12

Below are grade-specific and content-specific courses offered. During the break, students can practice for their End-of-Course (EOC) exams or prepare for upcoming EOCs. Additionally, SAT & ACT Test Prep and Strategies for Academic Success courses are included to help students practice test-taking skills, strengthen their understanding of exam formats, and build confidence for standardized testing and academic performance.

These assignments span a range of subjects for students in grades 6-12, emphasizing four core content areas: English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. I have included a brief description of each course. Teachers can tailor assignments based on individual student’s needs and the standards they require support on, or they can assign entire units to students who need comprehensive review or reinforcement. Each grade level is provided with targeted courses that align with critical academic standards and the Georgia Milestones assessments.

Break Academic Bridge 6-12 Course Descriptions

English Language Arts (Grades 6-8): The Georgia Milestones English Language Arts courses provide students with focused strategies to master key literacy skills, including reading comprehension, writing, and analysis. Designed to align with state standards, these assignments ensure students are prepared for success on the Georgia Milestones assessments through targeted practice and skill reinforcement.

Mathematics (Grades 6-8): The Georgia Milestones Mathematics courses for grades 6-8 focus on building and reinforcing foundational skills in algebraic reasoning, geometry, data analysis, and number operations. These assignments provide targeted practice and problem-solving opportunities to help students master key concepts, close learning gaps, and prepare for success on the Georgia Milestones assessments.

Science (Grades 6-8): The Georgia Milestones Science courses engage students in exploring key topics such as physical science, life science, and earth science. Through virtual assignments and critical thinking exercises, students will deepen their understanding of scientific concepts while preparing for the Georgia Milestones assessments.

Social Studies (Grades 6-8): The Georgia Milestones Social Studies courses focus on enhancing students' knowledge of history, geography, civics, and economics. These assignments encourage students to analyze historical events, interpret data, and connect concepts to real-world contexts, preparing them for success on the Georgia Milestones assessments.

9th Grade Literature & Composition: This course focuses on developing students’ skills in literary analysis, critical thinking, and effective communication through reading, writing, and discussion. Aligned with Georgia State Standards, it prepares students for success on the Georgia Milestones assessment.

Algebra I: This course builds foundational algebraic skills, such as solving equations, graphing linear functions, and analyzing data. It aligns with Georgia State Standards to prepare students for the Algebra I EOC assessment.

Biology: Students explore core biological concepts such as cell structure, genetics, ecosystems, and evolution through inquiry-based learning. Aligned with Georgia State Standards, the course prepares students for the Biology EOC assessment.

Geometry: Students explore geometric concepts such as shapes, angles, proofs, and theorems while applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The course aligns with Georgia State Standards to prepare students for the Geometry End-of-Course (EOC) assessment.

Physical Science: Students study fundamental concepts of physics and chemistry, including energy, forces, matter, and chemical reactions. The course aligns with state standards to prepare students for the Georgia Milestones assessment.

American Literature & Composition: This course enhances students' ability to analyze and interpret literary works from American authors while strengthening writing and communication skills. It aligns with state standards to prepare students for the Georgia Milestones assessment.

U.S. History: This course covers key events, themes, and figures in American history, fostering critical thinking and analysis of historical developments. It follows Georgia State Standards and prepares students for the U.S. History EOC assessment.

Economics: Students examine key economic principles, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and personal finance, to develop a deeper understanding of economic systems. The course follows Georgia State Standards and prepares students for the Economics EOC assessment.

SAT & ACT Test Prep: These courses provide a comprehensive review of key concepts in mathematics, reading, writing, and science to prepare students for the ACT and/or SAT exam. Through a diagnostic pretest and a personalized learning plan, students receive targeted practice to strengthen their skills and maximize their test performance.

Study Skills & Strategies: This course helps develop effective study habits, motivation, and learning strategies to take control of their academic success. Through engaging lessons, students will explore note-taking techniques, memorization strategies, test-taking skills, and reading methods to enhance their learning experience.
