A school may only have one team.
Coaches must remain in the competition room with their team.
Each school will participate in six (6) rounds.
Each round will consist of ten (10) questions.
Alternates may be substituted between rounds.
Teams will receive ten (10) points for each answer.
There will be no penalties for wrong answers.
There will be five (5) members on a team and up to five (5) alternates.
Teams will compete head to head with 6 randomly selected competition rounds.
Teams will accumulate points by being the first team to correctly answer the most questions in each round.
All team members must stay silent until they have been recognized by the console judge.
The recognized team member will respond to the question.
To answer a question, a team member will buzz in using the Quick Pro buzzing system.
Buzzing system will be tested at the beginning of each round by the Console Judge
Once a team member buzzes in, 10 seconds will be given to begin answering the question.
fIf a team member buzzes in while the question is being asked, the moderator will immediately stop reading the question.
Team members must be recognized by the console judge before answering a question.
The ten (10) second answer period begins after the team member is recognized by the console judge.
All other team members will remain silent.
If the team member answers the question correctly, the team will earn 10 points.
If the team member answers the question incorrectly, the question will be asked again for the opposing team to answer. Teams DO NOT lose points for incorrect answers.
If neither team buzzes in, the moderator will answer the question and proceed to the next question.
All team members must stay engaged and may not receive any assistance from any human, digital or print resource.
If a team member is suspected of receiving assistance, one (1) warning will be given.
If a team member is again suspected of receiving assistance, the team member will be removed from the competition (not the round, the whole competition).
