CLASS OVERVIEW:

Here students will be challenged to understand the developments that have taken place within various societies across the world to inform their roles in shaping the future of the nation.

The GOAL of this course is to encourage students to engage in policy and socio-economic issues instead of simply relying on the government to determine desired outcomes.

About me

I was born and raised in Kansas City.

I attended Wyandotte High School where, as will many of you, I began to understand the ways in which education can change reality.

After earning the Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium Scholarship, I was afforded the opportunity to leave home and attend the college of my dreams at no cost to me!

In 2016, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Morehouse College. Following graduation, I spent one year serving as an AmeriCorps “WingsLeader” social and emotional learning teacher within the Fulton County School District.

In 2018, I began serving high school students as a College Advisor on behalf Georgia State University within Atlanta Public Schools.

While in graduate school I began student teaching within Atlanta Public School system and I am now honored to be a full-time teacher! I have recently earned my Master of Arts in Teaching certificate from Mercer University, Tift College of Education.
