Dillon J. Boudreaux serves as Director of Bands for Armstrong Middle School and Rayne High School, where he leads students in developing musical excellence, personal responsibility, and pride in their program. With more than 20 years of experience as a musician, performer, and educator, he brings a wealth of practical knowledge and a deep appreciation for music to the classroom and podium.
After spending two decades performing, studying, and working in the music field, Dillon transitioned into full-time music education in 2021. His extensive background as a working musician continues to shape his teaching philosophy, allowing him to connect the lessons learned through real-world performance with the daily work of building successful school ensembles. He believes that great bands are built on strong fundamentals, disciplined rehearsals, teamwork, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Under his leadership, students are encouraged to grow not only as musicians, but also as leaders and members of a unified ensemble. Dillon strives to create a positive and challenging environment where students develop confidence, respect for the art of music, and an understanding of the dedication required to achieve meaningful success.
Dillon earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and his Master’s degree in Education from Louisiana State University. He remains actively involved in the music education community through his memberships in the Louisiana Music Educators Association (LMEA) and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).
As Director of Bands for both Armstrong Middle School and Rayne High School, Dillon is committed to building a strong, connected band program that gives students opportunities to grow from their first years of instrumental music through their high school experience while carrying forward a lasting appreciation for music and the values learned through ensemble performance.
