WHAT'S IN A GRADE?
Students will receive grades in 9 categories throughout the quarter. Some categories will consist of 1 grade, while others will be the result of many assignments or assessments averaged together. For each quarter you can expect the following categories:
Fluency Quiz grade (see fluency grade policy below)
Homework (see homework policy below)
5 test grades
District Benchmark Assessment
Quarterly Project (maybe)
MAJOR TESTS (INCLUDING BENCHMARK)
A: 87.5% or higher
B: 74.5-87.4%
C: 57.5-74.4%
D: 39.5-57.4%
F: 0-39.4%
FLUENCY QUIZZES
Will count as 1 test grade per quarter. In quarter 1, all quizzes will be averaged together.
A: 90-100%
B: 80-89.9%
C: 70-79.9%
D: 60-69.9%
F: anything below 60%
HOMEWORK AVERAGES
Workbook:
One grade given per TOPIC, which is several lessons combined (usually 5-7). Students are expected to have work shown for EVERY problem in the book as well as entering their answers in a Google Form and editing those answers until all are correct. For every lesson missing, the letter grade will be reduced. No homework will be accepted if the Google Form is not done.
