As we prepare for the upcoming season, Summer Band Camp is scheduled for July 20 - August 1, 2026, at West Mesa High School.
Band Camp is a required class component, and attendance is mandatory for all students enrolled in the band program. This camp is essential for learning our music, drill formations, and marching fundamentals, and building the teamwork and discipline to make our band successful.
Please mark your calendars and plan accordingly to ensure you are present for the whole duration of camp. As we approach the start date, more details regarding times and what to bring will be sent out.

Schedule for 2026 West Mesa Band CampÂ
July 15 - Band Room Organization & Cleaning / Instrument Check Out: 2 pm - 6 pm in the band room
July 16-17 - Band Leadership Team Retreat / Band Camp Prep - 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
July 20 - Rookie Day: Band Leadership and all first-time members - 7:30 am - 12 pm
July 21 - 24 / July 27 - July 31: Full band camp for all band members - 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (Lunch from 11:30 am - 1 pm)
August 1: Mustang Band Community Performance and Potluck - 9:00 am

Daily Schedule for full band (July 21 - July 31)
7:30 am - 11:30 am: Marching Rehearsal (Basics week 1 / Drill setting week 2)
Percussion will be rehearsing separately for this portion of the day
11:30 am - 1:00 pm: Lunch
1:00 pm - 2:15 pm: Sectionals
2:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Full Band Rehearsal
