Teacher Class Loads (20th Day Compliance) Tool
This tool is designed to indicate when pupil-teacher ratios have exceeded New Mexico statutes for class loads. Teacher FTE (denominator) includes all teachers of a regular-ed (non-sped) homeroom class. This excludes teachers exclusively teaching core course subjects, electives, auxiliary, and D-level special education homerooms. Student enrollments (numerator) are based on those students enrolled in an elementary regular-ed (non-sped) homeroom course in Synergy.
When pupil-teacher ratios are BLUE, class loads are in compliance. If pupil-teacher ratios are RED, additional teachers may be needed. If you have any questions about the visualizations, please email AskSAPR@aps.edu and a member of the SAPR team will be happy to assist you.
Per NM Stat § 22-10A-20 (2017):
