Statistical Peers

To better understand the academic outcomes of our schools, SAPR provides the following Statistical Peers visualization. Statistical Peers are schools that are similar to each other based on student demographic characteristics (i.e., percent minority, percent of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch, percent English Learners (EL), percent of students with disabilities and percent of students identified as gifted), and student mobility. If you have any questions, please email AskSAPR@aps.edu and a member of the SAPR team will be happy to assist you.

Guiding Questions for a Data Discussion

What Statistical Peer Group does your school belong to? Are the schools in your school's Statistical Peer Group located near your school? Did you expect to see these schools grouped with your school? Why or why not?

Did your school perform better or worse on PARCC in English/Language Arts than predicted? How about in mathematics? Why do you think the other schools in your Statistical Peer Group under preformed or outperformed your school?
