Greetings Fifth Grade Tiger Family!
My name is Kelly Richoux (RE-SHOE) and I will be your child's 5th grade teacher for the 2024-2025 school year! That being said, WELCOME TO 5TH GRADE! Fifth grade is a time of tremendous academic, emotional and even physical growth. To ensure all student succeed, I invite all families to have an open line of communication with me so we can address questions, comments, and/or concerns head on. My goal is to have a collaborative team that allows students to have a phenomenal educational experience. Please never hesitate to contact me!
ABOUT ME:
The 2024- 2025 school year will be my thirteenth year teaching and sixth year here as an Osuna 5th grade teacher. My passion is teaching and my mission is to instill my love for learning in my students. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, so I went to The University of New Mexico for my elementary teaching degree. I am very proud to be a part of the Lobo Nation... Everyone's a Lobo.. woof, woof, woof! :) Over the summer of 2022, I decided to pursue my Master's Degree and began attending Walden University because I strive to be better and do better for my students every single year! I graduated with honors in September of 2023. Aside from being an avid Lobo Basketball fan, and a passionate teacher, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I'm a mom to 3 fur babies and "Aunt Kelly" to 5 kiddos (3 nieces & 2 nephews), which brings me so much joy. This summer, my husband (Justin) and I celebrated our first anniversary in Durango, Colorado!
I look forward to getting to know more about my students and their families and building an educational community that exudes greatness! Together we are going to make this a wonderful school year! Lastly, like I mentioned before, please feel free to contact me if you have any specific questions.
