Hello everyone! A little about myself: I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico in a inner city neighborhood named "The International District." I grew up in a Spanish-speaking household and have a strong Mexican culture and heritage that I carry to this day. I attended public schools near my neighborhood including Wilson Middle School and Highland High School. I then went on to college and completed my Bachelors in Music education at the University of New Mexico. I am now pursuing my masters in Music Education, also at UNM. I am currently in my fifth year teaching and have enjoyed the entirety of my career being at Atrisco Heritage Academy and George I. Sanchez!

• The instrument I grew up playing was Viola.

• Favorite music genres: Hip-Hop, Mariachi music, Corridos Tumbados, Classical Music.

• Hobbies: 

  • Playing Tennis 

  • Gigging over the weekend with Mariachi groups.

  •  I also love to watch sports. My favorite teams include the Lakers, Vikings, Yankees, Chivas, La Seleccion Mexicana, and Minnesota Wild.

• Favorite celebrities/athletes are Lebron James, Novak Djokovic, Drake, and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
