Principal Advisory Councils 

Interim Guardrail 4.3: Principal Advisory Councils: The number of schools with a Principal Advisory Council made up of student advisors will increase from 0% in August 2024 to 100% in August 2027. 

Purpose:
Attending to student voices requires administrators to intentionally disrupt power structures and collaborate with students as legitimate partners. Administrators must build trust, flatten power dynamics, and act as a bridge between students and power brokers in decision-making processes while also buffering criticism of early student voice efforts.
