Welcome to NM History with Ms. Mayville! This is our class website that you will use to access information regarding class structure, content, assessments, announcements, and more!

Unit 1 Choice Assessment: Students will complete an assessment in class on Thursday (8/29) or Friday (8/30). Students will also have time in class next week to finish their assessment if needed. Unit Assessments are 50% of students' class grades and should not be rushed through or skipped over! Students can choose to complete either an Inquiry Practice or a Unit Quiz for their Choice Assessment. 

My Farewell: I have been blessed with the opportunity to leave New Mexico to travel and spend time with my family. My last day as your NM History Teacher will be next Friday (9/6) and you all will be getting a new teacher to help you learn and grow. I wish you all the best in your high school career and thank you for being awesome students! 

Class Supplies: Students will need to bring supplies with them to class every day to complete their daily classwork. These will include a charged Chromebook, a Pencil, a 1 subject Notebook (this is optional - students may use Google Docs for note-taking instead of using a paper notebook or may choose to use a binder or folder with loose leaf paper instead of a notebook), a reusable Water Bottle, and a Positive Attitude of course! Come to class ready to engage with your peers and learn about NM History.

Google Classroom: In addition to using our class website, students are expected to regularly log in and use our Google Classroom. Students will be able to gain access to our Google Classroom once Chromebooks have been distributed. Students will need to access Google Classroom/ other online resources during class time so they must come to every class with a charged Chromebook! Notifications from Google Classroom will come through student email or students who download the Google Classroom app can get notifications sent straight to their phone.
