Welcome to the second grade! I am really excited about being your child’s teacher and look forward to an enriching and worthwhile school year .We will work together to make this a productive school year. My objectives for your child are to help prepare your child academically, emotionally, as well as socially in an encouraging and nurturing environment .

All about Mrs.Nerhood:

Here is just a little about myself. This is my 26th year teaching and my 16th year teaching 2nd grade. I have taught grades K-5, but second grade has my heart. I am certified K-8 and I have a masters degree in Instruction and Curriculum.

I have 3 children of my own, 2 boys and 1 girl. My oldest son graduated from NMSU and is now working on law school, my middle son will be starting his first year at Paradise Valley Community College in Arizona to play baseball, and my daughter is starting 7th grade at Eisenhower. In my free time I love to watch baseball (especially my son play), watch my daughter cheer, workout, get a Starbucks or 7 Brew and enjoy shopping at Target! I also enjoy spending time with my family and relaxing at home.
