Key Concepts:
The digits on the left of a number have a greater value
A digit in a multi-digit number has a value depending of its place ( e.g. X groups of hundred)
A given digit is 10X the value of the same digit to its right, and vice versa
Numbers can be written in different ways
We can represent number comparisons with symbols
Standard addition requires regrouping when we make 10 groups of a certain value
Standard subtraction requires decomposing and regrouping if the digit in a place is greater than the digit we are subtracting from
