Class overview
Welcome to my class! Our goals are to meet Common Core or New Mexico State Standards in this subject. To that end, we will work on projects that address these benchmarks and at the same time, give you opportunities to improve your emotional health, social skills, technology skills, and enter the conversation about social justice and global issues that we all face at this time and place in history. This website serves as a means of improving communication and clarifying expectations for you and your families.
About me
My name is Mary Rafferty and I am a Nationally Board Certified instructor teaching for the past twenty years. It is my passion to empower youth to deal with a rapidly changing world. I love integrating art, social justice, and community gardening into my instruction.
Resources
We will be using Google Classroom daily this year. All assignments, resources, and directions can be found there. Use your class code to enroll. Use your APS credentials in order to experience full functionality. If you are a parent and you would like access to your child's Google Classroom, please write me at rafferty@aps.edu in order to request access.
