Ms. Morris

Hello! I am Ms. Morris and this is my 6th year teaching at Eisenhower Middle School. I grew up in Albuquerque and graduated from Eldorado High School. I continued my education immediately after high school, and never really stopped going to school! I am a true life long learner. I graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education from University of New Mexico in 2012, a M.A. in Education Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Technology from Grand Canyon University in 2016, and a post masters certification in Educational Leadership from George Washington University just this summer.

My favorite part of teaching is that no two school days are ever the same. I love getting to know my students and helping them find passion and joy in their learning. This year I will be teaching Information Technology II, Yearbook, and Coding, as well as working as part of our schools administration team. My passion is guiding the students through making choices about their learning to instill ownership and and a sense of pride in the work they create.

My interests outside of school include spending time with my boyfriend and dog hiking, off-roading, and camping. I also enjoy reading, going to the movies, live music, and yoga. I travel as much as possible to see my family that is spread out all around the U.S. and to experience new places. My philosophy is to learn something new every day by opening myself up to new experiences, ideas, and opportunities. I enjoy looking for new ways to enhance the learning environment for our students to be able to grow and explore their passions.
