About Me

Below are pictures of me doing my favorite things. What are your favorite things? I cannot wait to learn about YOU! 

I grew up in Alamogordo, New Mexico with my older brother and sister. I attended college in Fairfax, Virginia at George Mason University. I later graduated from the College of Santa Fe with a master's degree in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership. I am highly qualified to teach Elementary K-8, reading, performing arts, and English as a second language. 

I have been a military spouse and ombudsman for the United States Coast Guard. We were stationed in Virginia and the San Francisco Bay Area, where I homeschooled my own children through a public charter school. My two children are now grown. Both had learning disabilities growing up, but now have successful careers. I have been teaching in New Mexico for about 15 years. I have taught first grade, middle school, and now fabulous fifth graders!
